• Draft a one-page product vision and elevator pitch for a new mobile app idea.
• Interview two potential users and summarize three unmet needs.

Module 2: Product Discovery & Road mapping

• Techniques for Customer Discovery: Jobs to Be Done, User Journeys, Empathy Mapping
• Prioritization Frameworks: RICE, MoSCoW, Kano Model
• Writing Effective User Stories & Acceptance Criteria
• Roadmap Types: Now-Next-Later, Theme-Based, OKR-Aligned
• Balancing Short-Term Wins vs. Long-Term Bets
• Metrics & KPIs: North Star, Leading vs. Lagging Indicators

Exercises:

• Conduct a mini user research session (3 interviews), synthesize themes, and propose three prioritized features.
• Build a 6-month “Now Next Later” roadmap in a spreadsheet or simple slide deck.

Module 3: Agile Execution & Go to Market

• Agile Frameworks: Scrum vs. Kanban vs. Scrumban
• Sprint Planning, Standups, Reviews & Retrospectives
• Managing Backlog & Refinement Sessions
• Working with UX, Engineering & QA: Handoff Best Practices
• Product Pricing Strategies

Exercises:

• Facilitate a mock sprint planning: break an epic into user stories, estimate, and commit.
• Create a launch checklist covering product, marketing, sales, support, and analytics.

Module 4: Data-Driven Growth & Optimization

• Voice of Customer: Surveys, NPS, Customer Support Insights

Exercises:

• Design and analyse a simple A/B test (hypothesis, metric, sample size).
• Build a basic growth dashboard in Excel or Google Sheets showing DAU/MAU, retention curve, and top acquisition channels.

Optional Capstone Project (4–6 weeks)

Teams simulate the development of a real product, applying all course concepts:

1. Conduct user research & define MVP.
2. Prioritize features & draft a roadmap.
3. Run two agile sprints to build key functionality.
4. Plan and simulate a launch.
5. Analyse user data and propose next phase optimizations.
